Viktor lives in a tent in the Bois de Vincennes. He used to be a chemist, but now struggles with alcoholism and fragile mental health. I was curious about the circumstances that led him to this point. He told me he was caught possessing an illegal chemical substance in Russia, which landed him in a psychiatric hospital for six years in the south of Moscow. After his release, he left his country and came to Paris.
Everything about Viktor feels uncertain. Communication is difficult, partly due to the language barrier, but also because his version of reality seems different from ours. His thoughts are often disjointed, and his truth is shaped by a reality that might not fully align with the one we perceive.
